Integral renovation for office building in 22@. Barcelona
First intervention developed by BCA in the 22@ that had previously involved the development of a Special Plan for the building.
It is a comprehensive remodelling which transformed a former industrial building into next generation offices.
The property has a ground floor and seven apartment floors; the last recessed. The constructed area is 8,184 m² and is situated on the corner of the Cerdá plot.
It emphasizes the façade proposal in terms of composition, widening gaps, generating small canopies and filling up one of the corners so that the former openings “corridors” are interrupted and there is an asymmetric solution produced where the ends of the windows alternate, suture style.
With regards to the treatment, all façades are clad in sheet metal, the main ones in zinc plates and the intermediates in corrugated lacquered steel. The natural, irregular and matte zinc adopt different hues depending on the light they receive.
