This activity groups together three projects that are encompassed within the Barcelona Plan. Specific use and origin are presented conjointly by location. The projects are: New Regional Terminal, Barcelona Plan office building and remodelling the old Control Tower. Unifying formal criteria have been applied by its typology, scale and proximity.

The Regional Terminal rises as a 65 x 26 meter pavilion situated perpendicularly on the Eastern end of the building Rambla de Ricardo Bofill, in the Puente Aéreo area. The project includes the expansion of the said Rambla by 60 meters and which is exactly where the original building had been. Through this point, a connection is created with the rest of the Airport at a level of +4.5 meters, and access to the Regional Terminal, which is situated at +0.30 meters.

The new building provides a swivel to enhance its incidental disposition and free nature, in addition to the functional component. Elements for vertical communication, services and facilities are positioned on this, thus freeing the rest of the space, resulting in an open large screened room of 1,500 m² almost 6 meters high.

Formally, it is a rectangular glassed pavilion taking shape with a metallic enclosure, transparent at the commuter level, with a significant canopy to protect against the rain and sun, and above, the styled aluminium sheets cover as a tear screened pavilion. Finally, the cover is treated like a great plane which turns 90º to reach the front, producing an effect of containment in itself and a backdrop to the interior space.

Finally, the cover is treated like a great plane which turns 90º to reach the front, producing an effect of containment in itself and a backdrop to the interior space.

In the second, two single-level continuous bodies are constructed and are bound by two concrete barriers that reproduce the layout of the road. The expansion of the lobby entrance and connection with the Control Tower from a fully glass enclosed space is also achieved.

Old Control Tower, l, the intervention consisted of remodelling and upgrading the interior spaces and to pose a solution for the facade, where the higher floors are especially damaged. A monochromatic treatment is proposed rendering the Tower unusable. It is a sculptural element that appears rusty based on the paint. It is to be used as a lookout, presentation rooms and as a contingency tower.
