The hotel is based on the architectural transformation of a structure designed for an administration office building, whose construction was halted with the real estate crisis of 2008.
The challenge was to transform that structure into an urban four-star hotel, next to Plaça Europa, close to the Fira, and therefore integrating the mix of the urban fabric at this point (residential, facilities, commercial, industrial… ).
The building is made up of two trapezoidal volumes, 9 and 7 storeys high, framed in white and generating a homogeneous rhythm of windows, practically unidentifiable, to be located on a dark-coloured, recessed plane, with only the edges of the forging being marked. On the rear façade, a lower body extends over the rear terrace, with rooms with generous terraces for family use.
The building is materialised with ventilated façade-type lightened concrete panels, and is formalised with a perforated panel depending on its density.
