Typical housing project in the Eixample, with an existing building of poor quality but with a protected modernist façade, so that while maintaining this, the rest is demolished and a new building is constructed that also includes a one-storey elevation, so the process is of a certain complexity.

Thus, the current façade is stabilised, the rest is demolished and a basement floor is built, 5 floors that coincide with the old forging and a 6th floor with an elevation treated with a totally different language. On the roof, apart from the installations, a communal area has been planned with a swimming pool overlooking the rooftops of Barcelona.

Projects of this typology are a clear way to preserve the architectural heritage of the city, consolidate the harmony of the islands of the Eixample while modernising the obsolete dwellings, especially when the intervention is global.
